Good point. I still haven't had time to check my other 2SP, but if the one
I noticed this reciprocity effect on is "faulty" I'm prepared to live with
it - I think it's actually an advantage when working in b/w. John - the
effect was only at shutter speeds longer than 1 second, which of course
don't appear on the meter scale. At f3.5, the indicated *and actual*
exposures were approx 0.5 sec. I then closed the lens down 4 stops to f16,
so I expected a shutter speed four stops longer than 0.5 sec i.e. 8
seconds. But what I got was approx 24. If you set up your tester for a
light level that gives you 0.5 sec at f3.5, would a correctly functioning
OM-2SP give you 8 seconds at f16? That would be the expected result unless
reciprocity compensation were built in, and that's really what I'm
wondering :-)
Best
