Subject: [OM] (OM) lens hood for 28-48 zoom. Help!
Hi Noel,
The 35-105 lens hood is quite different from the 28-48 lens hood - however you
may be able to use it. On my 28-48 the lens hood is a screw in one which fits
around the filter ring and screws in the the next thread along the lens. I
think it is 55mm?? You can also use the lens hood designed for the 28/2.8 lens
but this fits into the filter ring. The 28-48 lens hood is very hard to come
by and when I was searching for one the Olympus people in Japan said that it
was no longer available. The 28 lens hood is easier but I would search the 2nd
hand lens hood boxes as it will probably be expensive. I priced a new 21/3.5
lens hood and it was quoted at $75 (aus) - so I'll be butchering a generic wide
angle lens hood. Also check the lens hood information on Lee's page.
