In addition, the Vivitar 283 has the vari-power module which can "dial-in"
manual output down to about 1/32 of full power.
There are 12 283's on Ebay right now. I see several that have been sold
recently for $30-$65 That $65 was new in the box. The VP1 module seems to
be $20-$30.

I don't think you can get the information in the
viewfinder like a dedicated unit but really who cares?
