The lens mount is metal (appears to be hard chrome plated, just like "normal"
cameras), the shutter is a vertical travel copal, and the viewfinder is
bright. It has a lot of features in common with the Olympus version. It would
not be worth repairing, however, as others have noted about the OM2k. I would
not characterize either camera as "cheap" though.
