I finally had a few minutes to troubleshoot my recently acquired F280.
I had been unable to get it to fire in the Super FP mode on my chrome
OM-4T, though it worked fine in standard mode. I tried it on my other
OM-4T and it works as expected. Cleaning the contacts didn't fix it and
both camera and flash have fresh batteries. Anything else I might have
missed? The flash shoe has the right number of contacts, so my chrome
-4t really is a -4T (there are some OM-4s out there that have had top
and bottom covers replaced with -4T parts). That camera works just fine
otherwise. The chrome camera is an earlier (?) serial number: 112xxxx
vs. 117xxxx for the body that will work in Super FP mode.
I don't really need both cameras to work in Super FP so I probably won't
send the body in to John H. just now.
