The ziplock bags still work for me. Best method I've personally ever used.
However, make sure you have a couple rolls of 1600 speed film in there
that you point out to them as being X-Ray sensitive. It prevents arguments.
I don't worry about the film in the cameras, nor about the camera bag
itself. Let it sail on through the X-rays without bother. Same with your
laptop computer. I've never had a problem.
I do try to get them to handcheck the tripod though.
