Hello all,
First of all, thanks to everyone who replied to my query about
Oly bodies and teleconverters. You guys are knowledgeable, and willing to
share. Thanks a lot.
I am getting ready for a trip and wanted to add a telephoto or a
longer zoom to my collection (don't want to spark a prime vs. zoom
debate.....). I currently have a Zuiko 28 mm F2.8, a Zuiko 50 mm F1.8, and a
Zuiko 35-70 zoom (the one that comes with the OM2000, not that great). I
figure that the 28 and the 50 will allow me to cover landscapes and "normal"
situations, bit I need something to get me up close. Based on what I can
afford at this time, here's what I have been looking at:

        135 f/3.5 Zuiko (49)
        100-200 f/5 Zuiko (49)
        50-250 f/4-5.6 Tokina AT-X (55)
        70-210 f/3.5 Vivitar Series 1 Macro (67)
        75-200 f/2.8-3.5 Sigma (67)
        70-210 f/4.5 Vivitar MC Macro (52)
        100-300 f/5 Vivitar Close Focus (62)
        80-200 f/4.5 Kiron (55)
        80-200 f/4 Tokina RMC
        75-205 f/3.8 Vivitar (58)

I would like your input as to which one of these are worthy of putting on an
Oly body. "Fast" and "slow" aside, I would like to know what you think of the
optics, clarity, color rendition, contrast etc. Plus, do the large front
diameters on some of these indicate a very large and heavy lens?
I have read good things in the archive about Vivitar Series 1 and
Tokina AT-X lenses, are these generally recognized to be decent lenses? What
non-Zuiko lenses do you use when necessary?

Thanks in advance for any info you might have.

Regards,
Ranjan
