The main products of burning hydrocarbons (gasoline, diesel fuel,
propane etc.) are water vapour and carbon dioxide, neither of which is a
hydrocarbon. There are other products (pollutants) released such as
carbon monoxide and nitrous oxide, but these are not hydrocarbons
either. Hydrocarbons are not released as a product from burning
hydrocarbons.
