Jerry, my OM4 (bought in Tampa in 1989 for $450) has lasted me well with one
battery set every 18 months or so. I dropped on the cobbled street from chest
height in Trier (Germany) and there is the slightest dink in the baseplate. The
VF is beautifully bright and the metering system a gem (no, I'm not trying to
sell it to you ;0)). I would save your dosh and buy a good, guaranteed OM4 (or
one which the seller promises has no problems with battery drain.
... and it has variable dioptre VF - very useful for those whose eyesight is
"changing".
