Maslow whose Hierarchy of Needs is used to indicate how mankind strives for
physical safety, but having achieved that then looks for less and less
*physically* essential achievements, with the pinnacle being self-fulfillment.
I recommend that you search for it on the Web, because it will mean a lot to you
in your dealings with others, especially as a manager or leader.
It is only one man's view but it provides us with a valuable way of
understanding behaviour.
