Got one. Lotta bang for the buck. Very nice little bod although I had to
modify the shutter lock so that I could shoot verticals comfortably with
it. (If you push the winding lever in it locks the shutter; when I look
through the viewfinder on verticals my forehead pushes that lever in and
locks it up -- not good.) The modification is very easy to do and is easily
reversed. Maybe not an issue if your forehead slopes north. 8-0
Smoother mechanical shutter than an OM-1 (probably), faster sync speed than
any other OM (although I've never used flash on mine -- no TTL of course),
I like the LED meter display (though others hate it), it's very light and
compact. Viewfinder seems a trifle brighter than a classic OM with a
1-series screen but not as bright as with 2-series.
I shoot Provia or Elite EXB and get excellent, predictable results.
It has very little resemblence by look or feel to a classic OM. If you must
have shutter speed ring at the lens mount, no amount of kudos will get you
to like this camera.
