Hi,
You are right about cornering in a 4x4, and I miss my Tbird for that. But
with my Tbird I couldn't barrel down a dirt road at 80KMH :). I took the
truck off-road in Prince Edward Island this summer and had a ball!
What a kid I am sometimes.
I took some pictures, but I didn't have my OM gear with me on that holiday.
Missing having it is what prompted me to get back on the saddle and drag my
equipment out of storage. I don't have them all processed yet, but if there
is anything worth mentioning, I will let you know. <g>
List members will be glad to hear, that I did use an Oly to take the shots.
I used the "QuickShooter TELE" It has a 36mm 1:2.8 and a 60mm 1:4.5
built-in lens. Olympus lens is marked on the body, but I don't think this
lens would be a Zuiko. Does anybody know?
I bought the camera for my mother, she needed something "fool proof" and
this unit was perfect. Auto focus, Auto wind/rewind, etc. I like using it
for the candid shots when lugging out the big camera (although the OM gear
is small, with a zoom, winder, bounce grip, and flash, it gets pretty BIG!)
is just a pain.
Anybody else use a point and shoot just so they don't need to unpack the
"big one" and are you generally happy with the results?

Watch out for high speed cornering (or lack of) in 4WD! Also, you won't
brake any better than a 2WD and probably worse because of the extra
mass.

I like the shots with the front wheels turned, snow kicked high by the
large tires spinning, all lights on.
I miss my Wrangler with the Buick V8!
Have fun this winter.
