Hi all,
yesterday, 22 of September, the light was very flat, a bad day for taking
pictures. I take some but was afraid of the result... The first day of ADITL
in June was already a "bad light day"
During the night, it was raining cats and dogs and this morning the sky was
bright blue with a nice sun. As my film was not finished I take some time to
made new pictures. For the last ones, I was on a fortified hill just across
the river in the border of the town. And from this place I had a nice view
of the city from the top. the light was beautiful making a superb
"structure" with the roofs of Namur.
In the sky some small clouds were "running" drawing pieces of shadows on
this urban landscape...
I've spent some moments, without taking pictures , but seeing with a new
"eye" a place so familiar for me. I've tough that this happy moment was a
direct benefit of the list, of this idea of ADITL... Thanks to George (our
host), thanks to Chuck Norcutt for the idea of using the 50mm, it's a focal
I use very rarely , my original 50mm f1.8 was stolen a lot of years ago and
I've replaced it only this year after all the discussions about it. I have
not taken the "classical" way of Denton in using my original OM1, but it was
a nice experience to be limited by this unique angle of view.
So I've spent a nice moment by the grace of the "list spirit", funnier than
some "too American" (kidding a little bit..! ) recent discussions,
sometimes "off-topic" (I too have an Akai Deck cassette recorder?) anyway
interesting on an "human" point of view: nothing is only "black" or "white"
As we say in French this morning I was "un homme content" (OM content)
I hope in the other "corners" of the Globe you had such nice moments
regards
marc
