Hm. My 2-door 4x4 RAV4 (obligatory SUV content) isn't strong enough to
support a camera platform and me stably, plus or minus mounting to the
intrgral roll bar, but others could well be...I suspect this would require
either a stiffer-than-average suspension, ballasting to the point of
bottoming it out, or else some means of locking the suspension in place
during use as a camera platform. (Maybe those electronically controlled
luxury barge (obligatory anti-SUV content) suspensions have a use after
all.)
I'd be interested in hearing the details of Adams's vehicle: was it modified
for the duty, or did he just get lucky, or did he compensate by other means?
