Well, yes... I who have to pay for the film myself, think so.
I looked at the prices of Sensia II 100, Provia 100 and Astia, the first one was
really cheap, especially if one buy the film excluding development and mounting.
I usually buy Sensia II 100 excluding development and mounting - I find it
cheaper to let a lab develop the film and then do the mounting yourself (heck,
I've got a lot of frames to use!).
On the other hand, if you pay for a slightly more dense base, and you have got
the money, or at least don't have to pay for the film yourself...
