BTW - My father had a head on collision with an 18 wheeler yesterday
(driving through the smoke of a burning corn field). He walked away,
and the truck is still drivable, albeit slowly. 4 years ago I had a
head on collision with a woman who pulled out in front of me. I went
from 55 to 0 in about 20 feet. I walked away, and the Suburban was
repaired. In both cases, lots of Detroit iron in front of us and seat
belts saved the day. Had either of us been driving a small car, we
wouldn't be here.
My sense of security isn't false.
