Can anybody give me some good links to photos taken with the F280. I have a
4Ti but no flash, and I'm thinking of buying one. A bit frightened by the
weak GN, though.
Happy to see a few shots with the F280. Maybe I'll change my mind and get
one.

You're right, there aren't any settings like different fill-flash powers to
adjust the amount of light, but because of the way the F-280 works, you get
relatively less fill as the SS increases. Still, this isn't exactly fine
control. Using the flash for a "pop" of fill=flash to just put catch lights
in
an animal's eyes, for instance, isn't really possible. You can operate the
flash
in FP while in manual mode for more control, but then proper exposure is
even
more tricky.
I have a PDF scan of the entire manual I can send if you like, but it's
large
(4.9MB) and your e-mail system needs to handle files of that bloat.
