Wayne,
You beat me to the draw on this one. I'm in Melbourne for work reasons
and
made the mistake of going for a lunch time walk around the "precinct" on
Monday.
Apparently this gear is ex Victorian Police Department. There was also a
600mm for $AU1500 in there as well. I'm afraid I succumbed and now have a
nice clean OM4ti with Recordata back 4 ($AU799) :-).
The nice policeman that used this one obviously appreciated what fine tools
they were given, I wonder what they use now?.

Subject: [OM] OM stuff in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Aussie Zuiks,
I happened to take a walk down the Elizabeth St. Camera Shop precinct today
and saw more OM stuff than in a long time. Didn't see any real bargains but
here is a rundown.
2x 300mm f4.5, 4x Recordata back 4 (2 NIB, 2 used), 24mm f2, OM-2sp, OM-4Ti,
MD-1, 2x 35mm shift, 2x OM-4, 21mm f3.5.
These were the less common stuff, there was also the usual collection of
OM-1, OM-2, OM-10, OM-40, 28mm f3.5 & f2.8, 200mm f4, etc.
I was a little interested in the Recordata Back 4's, but I believe they do
not work past the year 2010. Does anybody know what the behaviour is beyond
this date ? What is a reasonable price for these backs (the used were
~$AU150, NIB ~$AU200) ?
