Hey, I replaced the gooey mess of foam in my camera with new stuff from
Olympus guy today. It went easier than I expected. I removed all the old
foam with a strong solvent (I used Goof-Off! cuz it was handy - no damage
to the paint). I used Goop to glue the new stuff in place. Cotton swabs and
toothpicks are a must for this operation. I also put some masking tape over
the shutter opening while the solvents and glue were flying. To make the
camera pretty, I used a tiny amount of Vinylex (automotive vinyl cleaner)
on the leatherette. Looks great!
Now I just need some mulit-coated lenses and I'll be all set!
Be seeing you.
