: Here to Kodak compatible projector lens have a rack and pinion type of
: focusing system while the European lens have a coarse helical thread. It
: might be possible to make an adapter because the Kodak lens diameter is
: larger than the Rollei but I've never seen one.
I just visited the site of 'De nationale diaspecialist', a dutch shop
specialized in slide
projection, and yes, it appears that there are two different mount sizes: the
52.5mm mount for Elmo,
Kodak, Leica RT-x and Simda circular projectors and the 42.5mm mount for sledge
projectors. There
are indeed alternatives for the Kodak lenses. He has the following 52.5mm mount
standard lenses:
Isco Projar 85 mm 188,--
Doctaron 85 mm 141,--
Elmo 85 mm 235,--
Kodak FF 85 mm 143,--
Isco Ultra AV 90 mm glasobj. 470,--
Isco Ultra AV PC 90 mm PC 752,--
Kodak FF Select 93 mm glasobj. 549,--
Doctaron 100mm 188,--
Kodak FF 100mm 188,--
Prices in Dutch guilders, of course. The Isco Ultra AV PC 90 mm sounds
interesting. A PC (shift or
tilt?) projections lens?
I found no reference of an 52.5->42.5mm adapter and I wouldn't be surprised if
there are optical
reasons why such an adapter wouldn't work.
If you want to visit the site to get an impression what's available, you better
start learning
Dutch. Here are some keywords to get you to the lens section:
prijslijst = price list
occasions = used gear
objectieven = lenses
groothoek = wide angle
sledeprojectoren = sledge projectors
projectieobjectieven voor zaalgebruik = lenses for large rooms
overvloeiprojectie = dissolve projection
schermen = screens

"Maxima zal over de minima regeren".
