Hi,

Oh yes, one actually would (at least I do it at times). Take a look at the
pictures "Parisian Highlight" (in the "France" section) and "Ancient Walls",
"Light of life", and "Enter light" (in the "Spain" section) of my picture
gallery (http://members.xoom.com/_XOOM/olaf_greve/gallery.html).
Taking pictures with the sun directly included in the picture during daytime
gives a counterlight effect I very much like. Nevertheless, they are tricky
pictures (flare!), so it's not something I do very often
In the "Light of life" and "Enter light" pictures I made sure the sun itself
was blocked by a part of the building so the effect would be a bit more
subtle, nevertheless there are plenty of direct rays from the sun in those
pictures too.
Regarding flare: it's a matter of taste. I know lots of photographers would
deem their shot to be a failure if you see flare, however, at times is can
add a nice touch to a picture, maybe that's just my opiniom though...

?Que?
Cheers!
