Hi All!
It's finally here! My brand new shiny OM 4Ti has arrived. I was so excited
until I found a small defect in the leather like finish.
The leather has become unglued from one corner near the strap eyelet on the
right side (looking at front). I have pressed it back down with the tip of
my finger and it seems to be holding, but I'm not convinced it will hold for
long.
I would return it to B&H in NY, but it was such a hassle getting the camera
here, that I really don't want to go through that again. I suppose I can
take to an authorised service provider here, under the international
warranty, but it seems like such a minor thing, that I was wondering if I
should/could repair it my self with some kind of glue?
Doing so, would that void the warranty? If not, what glue should I use?
Maybe John from Camtech could provide some advice.
All-in-all, it is beautiful. I feel like passing out cigars, but it is hard
to push them through the phone wires.<g>
