I recently had the opportunity to use my OM4t with studio lights
for the first time at my local camera club. They attached to the
camera with a PC connector which I plugged in to the socket
and promptly began to shoot away. The only problem being that
the flashes would not fire for me. There were a bunch of people
in line so I only got to try a couple of settings. No luck, I couldn't
get the flashes to fire. They worked for everyone else, so it must
have been just my camera. No one else at the club had Olympus
equipment (don't get me started) so they were full of not-so-helpful
advice. In order to use the flash via the PC connector, what settings
to I need to use? I had the camera on 1/60 (although not the mech
1/60) and tried both camera shutter release and the winder release.
I think that I had the camera on manual but would having it on auto
cause my problem?
