I love the remark ," drink the vodka and buy a new camera".
Sometimes it is hard to except death (it's called denial) even if it is a
new camera. Cameras develop a personality you know.
I grew up in Florida and the ocean is very beautiful , but also very
corrosive. If a camera is immersed in salt water you better say goodbye.
I had a friend who dropped a very nice flash light in salt water. (brand new
long one with a bunch batteries) He forgot to rinse it out and the next
morning when he showed it to me , we both laughed uncontrollably , for the
flash light looked like it was 50 years old. We could not believe what this
thing looked like.
