Indeed, you did mention that customs added 40something.

Sorry to hear abou that; this should be a lesson to all international
buyers and sellers: find out if you're gonna get taxed for items. I have a
vague recollection about my dad grumbling over the customs he had to pay
when we moved. A lot of stuff was shipped via cargo (sea), all personal
household items, nothing new. Still had to pay for that.
