The problem may be corrosion on the battery contacts, what with you living in
humid Singapore and all.
There are various methods of cleaning contacts, but a piece of fine grade
wet&dry paper normally serves me well (although you'll have to glue a small
piece to the end of a pencil or something to reach the ones at the bottom of the
battery compartment. (some people just use the pencil eraser, but it depends how
bad things have got).

My secondhand Winder 2 works intermittently..... After long storage, it has
a mind of its own, deciding whether to work or not.... Very frustrating....
Any one know what's the problem... ?
Can I repair it on my own ?
