Here's the interesting text on this OM-1 "This poor little camera is
currently dead. Actually it was killed. Probably had a simple mechanical
jam, and then some idiot tried to "fix" it with WD40 or the like. The
inside has been saturated. No meter action, No wind, No shutter action."
This sounds like what I do to my brass sprinkler when it sticks. I just
spray WD-40 on it while it's running until the sticking stops. I guess
this guy thought his OM-1 could benefit from the same treatment. Although
I'm sure there's been worse stories, this one is up there.
John - One day when you have a minute to think, you'll have to give us your
best stories on what-came-in-the-door-for-repair. I'm sure they'd be good
for a few grins; or gasps of horror, depending on the situation
