"Mount[ing] and guiding" is like, putting the camera on a star tracker?
Most "star trackers" aren't accurate enough by themselves. "Mounting
and guiding" refers to "mounting" your camera piggy-back on a
telescope, then manually (or semi-automatically) "guiding" the
exposure by making small adjustments to the telescope equitorial
mount.
So-called "star trackers" are not accurate enough for any but very
short exposures. You use them together with tiny manual adjustments
(and cross-hair eyepieces) on long exposures.
Requisite OM content: author Michael Covington uses Olympus OM gear,
and was once a list member. His book on astrophotography is an
excellent way to get started, and is filled with photos with Olympus
credits.
