Yes, there is a cast with some whites...you will have to experiment. The
effect of the filter on film is not always predictable. The photo lab may
will respond if you tell them that the filter is used, but I have found that
its effect is best seen with chromes. Non-red colors are, as he told me,
largely neutral although I am positive that the filter has a polarizing
effect and so the other colors colors are enriched not enhanced. Remember -
everything in the red spectrum is enhanced so yellows are also richer,
oranges, etc.
I also forgot, the old agfachrome (it had a kind of pastel palate) was
beautiful when enhanced. I'm sorry that Agfa opted for the "american" punched
up colors. I likes the old stuff better. Yes it was grainey, but the colors
were more subtle.
