Ever thought of using a beanbag and a convenient rock?
A tripod that extends from two inches to six feet
would be a great invention. But I haven't seen one
yet.

Subject: [OM] Light weight tripod
One of the attractions of Olympus equipment is its
small size and
lightnes,
a great boon when travelling or hiking. However, my
manfrotto (Bogen)
tripod
now contributes the largest proportion of the weight I
now have to
carry
around. The manfrotto is great but a big over the top
for some of my
walking/sight seeing. Has anyone got recommendations
for a suitable
small
and light weight tripod? I know I will have to
compromise somewhat on
the
stability but would happily sacrifice some stability
for weight!
Your thoughts greatly appreciated.
