Dear All
As David Brown mentioned on 17 July, the OM3Ti was compared in Amateur
Photographer (AP) with the Contax III RTS and the Leica R8.
Although the OM won ("Best Buy") with great praise for the 50/1.8 (does
not say whether MC or not, but have to assume so ;-)), the reviewer
mutters ungraciously about the "idiosyncratic handling". This appears to
be because the aperture control ring is at the front of the lens and the
shutter speed control is around the lens mounting. He also says that DoF
control requires the pressing of 2 buttons on the opposite sides of the
lens and fails to mention the shadow and highlight buttons (except in the
list of features).
He does, however, make a great deal of the strength of the OM body and of
the quality of the metering.
I'll let David scan the article for you when he returns from holiday - if
anyone is interested.
