I once knew this old photographer who told me the perfect technique for
hand-holding exposures for 1/2 second and longer.
1) Firmly brace yourself against a solid support (tree, wall, chair, ect).
2) Get a firm grip on the camera with your left hand ( preferably under the
lense about mid-point).
3) Make your reading and be sure of your settings.
4) set you self timer for a least a 10 second delay.
5) trigger you self timer and at the same time slowly and cafefully reach
down and turn off your pacemaker.
6) at the end of the time have your assitant turn the pacemaker back on and
close the shutter.
yours with all my heart,
Garry
