The timer/mirror/aperture pre-fire routine is useful for basically
stationary subjects with a tripod-mounted camera shooting at shutter speeds
slower than should be hand-held.
I think there is no provision for mirror lockup and aperture pre-fire with
timer on the OM-2. This is a refinement added by the time Olympus got
around to designing the OM-2S.
