Dunjay,
This sounds like a case of weak batteries to me. Have you tried changing them?
Don't rely on the battery test in the camera body; depending on the specific
type of batteries installed, you may or may not get reliable results.
Other than that, I can't offer any suggestions, other than to send it off for
repair.
regards,
Mahlon

Subject: [OM] blocked shutter - HEL*P!!!
I was shooting macro with cable release with OM 4. After I take film
out and the camera was empty my daughter tried it too but after she
pressed the release the shutter was blocked. The mirror is up and the
lever for film advance is blocked, too.
I can put the mirror down with very small lever on left side of the
opening for lens, but after I press the release button it will only
spring miror to the up position again and stay up.
Can I try to repair it myself?
Do you think that it is possibly to try in repair workshop for other
camera brands?
Or need I to bring it to Olympus specialised repair workshop? The
problem is that workshop for OM repairing is not in Slovakia, I need
send it to the Czech republic and it will take probably 6-8 weeks (not
speaking about the money). This is terribly situation for me, because
I need make a lot of high quality macro photography for my work in
next weeks and I really do not have other possibility (and camera)
capable to do it.
If will you post reply, reply to my address hadesia@xxxxxxxx too,
because I am on digest and during present days is only one digest per
day - a long time wait for me.
Thanks in advance
