With a dedicated or semi-dedicated flash (and I presume the Vivitar 283 is)
the shutter speed is automatically sync'ed at 1/60. The shutter speed leds
show available light speeds. At the moment they get at shorter values than
1/60 the flash doesn't fire. Btw, if you don't have a dedicated flash, the
manual adapter still isn't necessary. Just set the selector dial to 'manual
adapter' and 1/60 is selected. In this case the flash will always fire. The
OM-10 does not support TTL OTF flash. The only other dedicated function is
the flash ready (led lights up)/ flash ok (led blinks). 'Flash ok' works
with computer flash (normal auto).
