It sounds like your are not saving it as a JPEG (.jpg) file, but rather as
an uncompressed file. (640 x 480 x 3 bytes per pixel = 921,600 bytes =
900kB)
Save as a ".jpg" file. It will prompt you for a compression factor,
typically between 0 and 100 (or 1 to 10, or possibly some other range).
Pick 50 (or 5, or the midpoint of any other range), and you should get a
file of 20kB to 80kB or so.
