=How much $$ do you have? After B&H I would have no cash, after =Wall St., no
="emergency" travelers' cheques, after Adorama credit cards would =be maxed,
=after Ken Hanson no airline ticket home. I don't think you need =more store

Thank you all for your help on my trip to NY.
With Microsoft Trip Planner, I had maps of B&H, Adorama, Wall street, and
John Hanson.
My wife gave me a train ticket from Boston to NY Penn Station for fathers
day. "Go by your silly little lenses" she said to me before leaving "Then
lets play show and tell"........Hummmm
So I took the train - it was surprisingly comfortable and I got to Penn
station rested and ready for action in 4 hours. B&H is only one block from
the train station.... Such a store I've never seen...It carries everything.
Candy for the eyes. I even got to see, touch feel, and look at a 24mm
SHIFT....Very nice helpful and not pushy staff.
Adorama and Wall street camera was OK But John Hanson has one of the nicest
small camera stores (up on the 18th floor) and you must hunt for it to find
it.
Two things I noticed. The web is better cause of the DAMN 8ales tax .
Jeeesh! FInd what you want and go to a pay phone and order it mail order (or
ask if they will mail it to you.) Plan on negotating. They price the stuff
high and expect haggle.
I could not get my wish list filled (aside from a few odds and ends I all I
bought was a 18mm zuiko from Ken Hanson. It was in the high 400's - is a
bit beat up but will meet my needs). I did get this "I gotta go to NYC and
check out the photo stores" out of my system. And boy am I glad I don't have
to deal with their traffic. New Yorkers go NO WHERE FAST. The cab driver told
me how he hates the F'n city and F'n weather and F'n Mayor and...... I asked
him how he will like a new 'lady senitor Clinton' and he said........ Nahhhh!
I wont got there, this is a family friendly web sight...
Cheers
Ken M
