2 strings come off the apert. coupler and go inside the camera body. One
string goes to the main meter pulley, the other loops through a spring
loaded pulley and is tied off. If the ring doesn't go back it could be
because the string is off one of these pulleys OR there is damage to the
ring (ring is not quite round anymore after being jammed past its stop
point) and must be replaced.
