| Simple: Leitz does not have a 180/2.0. If they did, it
|would cost as much as a new Ford Explorer.

Leitz DOES make a 180/2, one of the latest additions to their lens
arsenal. It's a 9-element, 6-group package which close focuses down
to 59 inches. Unlike its Zuiko counterpart, its minimum f-stop is
only f/16. It weighs about 5.5 pounds (2500 grams) to the Zuiko
180/2's 4 pounds, 3 ounces (1900 grams).

As to cost, B&H Photo hasn't establish a Leitz webpage for their 35mm
offerings; so I can't get the price there. Even though I receive
B&H's monthly catalog, I am quite sure the cost isn't listed, as is
the case with virtually all items Leica. However, you can rest
assured that the Leica 180/2 cost makes the Zuiko unit seem cheap.
