I have to agree there - in my previous posting on this topic I mentioned
how much better the results of doing my own colour prints were compared to
a lab. It restored my faith in colneg materials! Another thing to bear in
mind with darkroom vs digital is the *speed* at which you can get your
results. It took me half an hour or so to sort out the colour filtration
for that particular film and paper, after which I was getting prints out at
the rate of one every five minutes, without really trying. A digital
system based around amateur-type scanners and printers would be hard
pressed to match that...
