'47 was a very good year.
Photography started for me in college with a Pentax HV1, Sekonic meter, with
50/2, a Vivitar TX 135/2.8 (which wasn't too bad), a Lentar 20mm (soft but
exciting), Spiratone 500/8 mirror (zero techique at that time so I got bad
results), and a Vivitar 35/3.5 (which was horrible). I bought the Tamron
38-100 zoom, which was the first zoom to pass the Mod. Photo tests. At this
time I was planning to get an Olympus OM2, which the Tamron allowed me to
bridge to. In the meantime I have gone through systems from Bronica, Fujica,
Yashica, only to come back to Olympus.
