I just pulled a PX625 out of the freezer after 5 years last week. Worked
fine. There is some argument about whether freezing actually prolongs the
shelf life of Hg cells, but it certainly doesn't seem to hurt. As far as I
know all chemical reactions slow down at lower temperatures. I keep them in
a zip lock bag with some dessicant packs and hide them behind the ice cream.
