Ron, I don't have a Motor Drive 2 but I looked it up in Shipman's book
and see that you can limit the number of exposures that the MD2 can take
at any one time by use of the SET and RESET buttons. Check the manual
for proper use of these buttons and the symbols on the display. To
defeat the frame counter and AUTO STOP feature use the SET button to
cycle past zero until a symbol with three triangles appears in the LCD
display. The frame counter wont operate but the drive will run through
the full roll. If you don't have a manual you will need one. None of
this is very intuitive.
ps: I hope that this is the "problem"

I recently purchased a used Motor Drive 2 for use on an OM4t. I am
using a
nicad control pack 2 as a power source. At first all seemed to work
well,
but it seems that with a 36 exposure roll of film, the drive stops
advancing
the film after 24-25 frames. The rewind knob stops turning but the film
counter on the drive keeps advancing. If I open the back(sacrificing
the
roll of film) when the drive counter reads 36, there are indeed about
ten
frames of film that were never advanced out of the canister. This does
not
seem to be a battery issue. Any ideas or similar experiences?
