To answer the question -- no, reflections from MC lenses don't have to be green.
There are several ways to skin this particular cat, and different forms of
multi-coating presumably show different color spectra. Ideally, lens coatings
would show no distinctive color at all. Perhaps some day we'll have such
coatings.
