I'm just learning about flash myself, a lot of info is available here
and in the archives.
But I do know that the only way to do flash at other than 1/60 with any
OM camera (except the OM 2000, which I think is 1/125) is to get either
a 3Ti or a 4Ti and an F280 flash.

Yes, that is what will happen.

How far away are these baseball players? You may be asking the
near-impossible here.
