the diodes may also be connected in series:
o--|>|--o--|>|--o
1 2 3
and if they are schottky diodes, they may have less voltagae drop than
germanium, in which case you may want to connect two in series, connect
to terminals 1 and 3, unless of course they are common cathode or
common anode. Without markings and checking with a meter, it's hard to
tell.
