I suspect it would fire the flash too early. FP synch fires the bulb a
significant time (something like 30-60ms I think) before the FIRST curtain
opens, allowing time for the bulb to ignite to full brightness. The bulb
stays lit until the second curtain closes.
For super FP flash I believe the flash is triggered just as the first curtain
begins to open. To use the F280 on an OM-1 you'd need some sort of delay
circuit in between, I suppose.
