Use a spot meter. Because of it's wide angle, I get very inconsistent
exposures using TTL automation. Overhead lights or windows or sky that
wouldn't influence a "normal" perspective exposure can really bias the
exposure through this lens.
Also, don't believe the "inverse focal length" rule for determining the
longest hand-held exposure you can take, especially if you are close enough
to exploit the len's particular effects. I've taken a lot of fuzzy shots
with this lens, and was about to chalk it up to a bad sample when I got
back some very sharp tripod shots.
