: hello, i am trying to find a small ball head for an upcoming bit of
: travelling. i currently have a 2 way head, but it is large and quite
heavy.
: so, i would like to find a small, lightweight tripod head. if anyone has
: anything used lying around, collecting dust, send me an e-mail off line,
: please.
: (small as in being able to support an OM body, and a 100mm lens.)
Manfrotto makes a sturdy metal table tripod that has a detachable, small,
lightweight (90 gram) tripod head. Its bottom thread is standard so that it
can be mounted for instance on a monopod. It is strong enough to secure
heavy monsters like the Tokina 80-200/2.8 or Zuiko 300/3.5. The combination
costs about $40. In the shop that is, mine isn't for sale.
