Very easy to hold and zoom and shoot with using only one hand.
Camera is quite limited, you get a couple of flash and drive modes,
but no control over exposure.
Built in flash gives perfectly exposed shots.
F 3.5 - 4.3 lens is a very good performer. Results are sharp and
contrasty.
Zoom range is good. ( 25 - 75 MM on mine- hence the 3.0 designation,
but there is also a 4.0 model. Off hand, I forget the 35 MM equivalent).
Lens is not really horribly slow as in some P & S that have an F 9.0 or
something. The bottom line is it's a good performer, a neat package, and fun
to use, IF you realize it's no more than a point and shoot, not a contender
to rival an SLR or Olympus's "IS" series. It has always been reliable and
predictable in its results. A real good choice if you're say- shooting the
day at the amusement park, or a kid's birthday party, etc, getting 72 frames
from a roll of 36 is a hoot, generally no worry about running out of film in
the middle of something. I haven't really used it in the past 4 or 5 years,
what with getting back full time to the OMs and yes, a more than slight
detour with N*k*n AF, Contax, and Leica stuff, but I'd really expect great
results from the new films available nowadays. Think I'll shoot some this
week!
